Our Favorite Waterfront Homes In Miami Beach For Under $20 Million
December 27, 2016Many of our clients aren’t looking to make headlines with a $50 million deal on the latest blockbuster listing. Mainly, they’re looking for a solid investment and something that’s still big enough to entertain and enjoy. So how big can you go in Miami Beach for under $20 million? Here are our favorite Miami Beach properties under-20 listings currently on the market and why we love them.
Favorite Pool
Having access to a waterway is great, but it’s not always ideal for swimming or hosting a party. So most waterfront homes have a backyard pool. The one at 815 Dilido Drive is our favorite. This pool takes up a big part of the backyard, has a fun shape and includes a Jacuzzi along the side. This whole space is great for entertaining and faces the water, which gives the best view year round.
Other highlights of this waterfront home in the Venetian Islands include the amazing bayfront view, high ceilings, stone finishes, and an elevator. Ramon Pacheco designed the home’s architecture with a focus on relaxation and luxury.
Favorite New Condo
Waterfront homes also include condos, and the condo at 7061 Fisher Island Drive is one of our favorites. This newly built condo is designer-ready and has an amazing wraparound balcony that showcases the view from the exclusive Fisher Island. The unit is 7,630 square feet with five bedrooms and five baths. There is amazing potential here, and the whole unit monopolizes on the view with floor-to-ceiling windows in most rooms. It’s a blank canvas, ready for any design esthetic.
The development also offers an all-inclusive aperitivo bar for all residents, a pool, gym, children’s playroom, and screening room. Even bicycles are available. The complex has beautiful architecture and transports visitors and residents alike to a whole other side of Miami.
Favorite Modern Architecture
If you get chills about modern architecture, the waterfront estate at 2305 Lake Ave. is our favorite option. This home has such a unique layout and exterior that it’s barely fair to compare it with other waterfront homes. The home covers 9,904 square feet and has wide open rooms with unique design features throughout. Both inside and out, this home exudes minimalism, but not without warmth — the rich hardwood floors are strikingly elegant.
Also, serious mariners take note: This home is one of very few in the area with a dock large enough to handle a yacht larger than 100 feet. Other features include a rooftop entertainment deck, covered barbecue area, and a guest cottage, in addition to its two swimming pools and reflecting ponds. We could keep going.
Favorite Resort Experience
This one’s a bonus. It’s well above the $20 million threshold, but we had to include it because it’s one of our favorite waterfront homes currently on the market. This magnificent Floridian villa at 1 Star Island Drive gives you the feeling of entering a resort for a long weekend — even if in reality it’s just 7 p.m. on a Monday and you have a busy day tomorrow. From the gated entrance to the open verandas facing the bay, there’s a unique continuity of grandeur in this home. The landscaping is simple and refined, and the swimming pool was designed to be both beautiful and practical.
Inside, the consistent white color palate creates a spa-like environment with seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, making this home large enough to house your guests. But you don’t have to necessarily: There’s also a guesthouse on the property for those desiring some privacy.
