Live Near Salt Bae’s New Brickell Restaurant
September 19, 2017Nusret Gökçe is taking over the former restaurant space Coya Miami on Biscayne Blvd. and making it his first restaurant in the United States. The restaurant is set to open its doors there in October, according to Eater Miami.
Gökçe’s art of cooking and preparing meat became an internet sensation. The opening of the Turkish steakhouse chain Nusr-et’s new location at 999 Brickell Avenue will mark the 11th branch of the chain. New York City will get it’s own Nusr-et restaurant later this year; location details to be confirmed.
Nusr-et is part of Zuma and Coya’s restaurant group. Coya Miami leased 8,000 square feet at the Brickell building, which included a bar, restaurant and outside terrace, as well as a private club with private terrace. It opened in March 2015 and closed this summer, according to The Real Deal.
The steakhouse will be open for lunch and dinner and feature a full bar program as well. The space will undergo renovations to feature a more open floorplan than Coya, according to Eater. [Eater]
